CASA DE ENCOSTURAS, located in Cabeceiras de Basto, in the north of Portugal, is a familiar company which produces liqueurs and traditional regional jams.
Its main purpose is to enrich the cultural heritage of the Basto surroundings and lands, by promoting local products in an innovative way, through the renewal of tastes. By using raw materials from the region, a trip through unforeseen flavours and different tastes is initiated, that will definitely surprise those who taste them.
The combination between the herbs, the fruits and the flowers, grown at the family farm, with carefully selected ingredients, results in scented liqueurs and other delicious specialties, 100% natural and original.
In the romantic garden of the House of Encosturas, we grow the aromatic herbs and flowers and, in the orchard, the fruits. With such ingredients, we produce the liqueurs that have been awarded consecutively, year after year, in the worldwide competition "Great Taste Awards". This contest, held annually in the United Kingdom, is considered to be the "Oscars" of the food industry. On a national level, our liqueurs have also been awarded year after year, in the competitions "Qualifica Origin", that distinguish the best products of Portugal.
